Blindly relaxed to indifference,

Cognitive rhetoric can cause interference

If you plant a seed, and don’t give it care, don’t be surprised when it dies

If you sit on a bus and never get off, you get nowhere if you don’t even try

Funny, it’s all quite familiar

The stories might change,

But the lies stay the same,

Or at least, they’re pretty damn similar

“It all went wrong when I sat at the table,

Winners and losers at chairs that were labelled,

It’s almost like someone had it all planned,

I’d sit just off centre and get dealt a bad hand”

STOP

You think you’re the player? No you’re the dealer

So you can only hand out cards in the deck,

If you don’t give them a shuffle then what’d you expect

Your ace in the hole isn’t trying your best,

It’s being strategic with the cards you got left.

Unless gravity changes, you’ve time on your side,

You’re rolling in minutes but you’re not being wise.

Think of last week, was it different to this,

Life’s on repeat, you work and get pissed

Letting time pass doesn’t water your plants,

Letting time pass doesn’t alter your hand,

Letting time pass doesn’t mean you’ll find peace

Letting time pass doesn’t mend broken things

If you let time pass and expect to see change,

If you let the dust settle, you’ll see dust on your plains.

It’s action not time, that creates and provides,

For all in this world is destroyed and forgotten, when given to time.
